Birthday

Yes its your birthday today.

You have become a year older today, one more year of experience, one more year of maturity, one more year of not being yourself and one year closer to death.

Its your birthday today, yet why am I speaking of death? Death is as true as your existence, as real as your breaths, as honest as your feelings and yet it is burdensome, unfathomable and unbearable.

Death is a truth that we celebrate through our birthdays, you and I and them. We all love to live, yet we are scared to die. We celebrate birthdays to celebrate death in disguise as truth is hard to digest. Your death will eventually follow mine, just like our birthday does. But our birthdays will be celebrated every year but death only once. We live everyday and die only in a few minutes. A momentary game is life and death, yet birthday is celebrated and death remains neglected.

Death must be celebrated just as we celebrate birthdays as the deceased waits for you to complete the cycle on the other side of life. As human insecurity begins with our bodily existence, our mind becomes weaker than expected. Unbearable loss is overruled by our minds, we get normalized at the end of the day, yet we linger on death and celebrate birthdays.
